The Story Behind Our Tea

Two years ago, my husband and I moved back to Hong Kong. My family—being Chinese—are avid tea drinkers, particularly my father and aunt. They enthusiastically introduced Chinese tea to my husband, who’s English and more accustomed to his morning brew (breakfast tea with milk, of course).

To our delight, he rather took to the black tea my aunt and uncle gifted him—so much so that we decided to visit Yingde, where my aunt sources her tea. Her close friend owns a tea farm there, and it’s a region steeped in history: records of tea cultivation in Yingde stretch back over 1,200 years.

Yingde black tea is consistently ranked among China’s finest, renowned for its exceptional quality, both in appearance and depth of flavour. It’s been exported worldwide—and even graced the table at a banquet for the British royal family.

The black tea and green tea in our online store were harvested in spring. We’d love for you to try them—loose-leaf tea offers richer flavour, more aromatic complexity, and a higher concentration of antioxidants than bagged varieties.

As a thank you for your support, we’ll include a free sample with every purchase from our store.

Cheers—and happy steeping. ☕
